Hulala!! This blog seems kinda dead to me. "Shareholders", aren't you guys gonna do something about it? =)

Anyway, to get the ball rolling (*again*), I shall start on a new post myself. Hmm.. Went for a dinner at Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday night. It was a function organised by my workplace and I was invited, FREE-OF-CHARGE! Pretty cool eh, considering the scrumptious food and nice atmosphere there. Oh, by the way, my workplace is officially 25 years old. Happy 25th birthday, workplace! Ahaha!

Other than that, the rest of my time has been spent DotA-ing, doing my tutorials and yakking away with my friends. Mundane life of a Singapore student. *Sighh*

Hmm.. Since I have nothing to blog about today, I shall write about an inspiration. "Are helpful people non-existent in our current society?"

To say this sweeping statement about our people is definitely incorrect. I mean, I have heard and even witness for myself the inner beauty of people. To start off, let me give you guys an example.

This incident I witnessed was during the time when I was on duty for work. My superior, who has picked up a lost phone, was waiting anxiously at the reception area. After some five to ten minutes, a girl in uniform rushed through the entrance and started thanking my superior.

My superior: Oh it's nothing. Don't mention it.

Girl: Oh, really, I am grateful.

So, after getting her phone back and expressing her gratitude, she left the library. Thinking that she had already went back, it was suprising for us to see her in the library again, this time round, carrying four to five packets of tea and coffee. No doubts, it was my superior who became the one thanking her now.

Back to topic. I think that the statement would stand true if we change some of the wordings. "The number of helpful people out there are getting fewer and fewer in our current society."

It doesn't need you to be a genius to figure out the meaning behind that sentence. As the society progress and economy develops, people are becoming more practical and calculative. In order to survive, everyone is beginning to fend for their interest and as a result, the warmth that we used to have, the care for the society, all of which seem to be eroded from our hearts.

We humans consider ourselves to be more superior than animals. What an irony this is, when documentaries show that elephants which travel in herds, risk everything to try to protect one another in times of danger. Are we able to do that?

That's all for today. Stay tune for the next post! Good day to all.
