Movie reviews, as promised. =)

Step Up 2: The story goes like this. A girl from a certain dance crew (They call themselves 410) which roams the streets doing all sorts of dance (Looks to me like hip-hop dance, floor dancing, I don't know. Not very familiar with dance myself. =P) was kicked out from the crew after enrolling into a high school. Consequently, with the help of the male lead in the show, she decided to form a new crew to challenge 410, which has been dominating the streets for years. As her crew consisted of what many would consider them as "nerds", they were despised by those who ruled the streets and a number of them even denied them of a chance to dance in the streets. However, as the ending of the show approaches, the female lead finally said some very inspiring words to the crowd and put up a very good performance, together with her crew, to snatch the crown away from 410.

Very inspiring story and there wasn't any moment in that show which was too long-winded or boring. I like the dances put up by the actors and actresses. They are very advance dance techniques (at least to me) and it showed the amount of effort each and everyone of the cast put in to master the dance moves. Overall, a good movie worth recommending to people who just want to catch a show and chill out in the cinema. A must-watch for people who are into dance. =) Ratings: 4½ stars / 5 stars
